Background & Qualifications

I am a highly skilled dog trainer. I have undertaken an intensive three year course with the internationally renowned CANIS, founded by Erik Zimen and Michael Grewe, and have a comprehensive, well-founded, practical and theoretical training from famous canine specialists such as Dr. Dorit Feddersen-Petersen, Dr. Hellmuth Wachtel, Günther Bloch, Gerd Leder, Rainer Dorenkamp, Michael Grewe and Nadin Matthews. Furthermore I have been certified by the Chamber of Vetenarians, Schleswig-Holstein - the first officially recognized certification of our otherwise unprotected profession.

I am familiar with genetics, behavioural therapy, cognition and learning, behavioural aspects of hunting, aggression and play, dealing with aggressive and anxious dogs as well as aspects of trainer/owner interaction.

I consistently attend workshops and internships with expert dog trainers. Various canine institutions provide ample opportunity for acquiring further practical skills with a wide variety of dogs.

I am a German citizen, bi-lingual, and have lived and worked for extensive periods in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia.
